Easter is a time for family fun and the Dayton area has plenty going on to make this one even more special. These three events offer a little something different for kids this year.
LM&M Easter Bunny Express
The Easter Bunny Express isn’t just a regular train ride. According to Will Gawin, general manager of Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad, families begin the trip from Lebanon Station with a 30 minute ride through scenic Warren County woods before being dropped off at LM&M Junction. There, kids will be greeted by the Easter Bunny and large area covered with Easter eggs, waiting to be found. Each child will also leave with a special surprise gift.
“The [train] cars themselves are about 80 years old, the locomotive was built in 1950, and the track has been there since 1881. So the train itself is a pretty unique experience.” said Gawin. “It’s a pretty fun event for a lot of kids and a lot of families. It’s a tradition for quite a bit of people and this year it looks like we are going to have pretty good weather for it, too.”

Breakfast with the Bunny
Scene75 Entertainment Center’s Easter breakfast gives children a chance to hang out with the Easter Bunny. From 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday April, 15, families can fill up on a buffet of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and more. And while they enjoy breakfast together, the Bunny will be hopping around to each table.
“Scene75 is tons of fun. So after, if [the kids] want to play games, that stuff will be open. So it makes the perfect Easter weekend family trip,” said Scene75 employee, Sean Cope.
In past years, more than 300 guests have joined the Bunny, so registering in advanced is recommended.

Young's Diary Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Seven thousand dyed eggs will be scattered about Young’s Dairy Easter Sunday, April 16. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be the 36th for Young’s. Children 4 and under will start at 2 p.m., children 5 to 7 at 2:20, and children 8 to 10 at 2:40 to ensure that each child gets a fair chance in the hunt. Young’s mascot, Barnabe, will be around for the festivities and all other farm attractions, including a petting zoo and two mini golf courses, will be open as well.
“We are starting a mobile food trailer and the first day it will be open here is Easter Sunday.” said Young’s employee Dylan Allison, adding to the exciting events planned for the day.
